Fletcher Nickel adds Second Drill at Texmont Mine
24.01.08
Toronto, Canada, January 24th, 2008 – Fletcher Nickel Inc. (TSX: FL) has now started a second diamond drill at its exploration program at the Texmont Nickel Mine south of Timmins. As described in the prospectus for the company’s IPO completed November 29th, 2007, re-drilling of the mine’s historical reserves commenced on August 15th although no core samples were submitted for analysis until after completion of the IPO. Recently, the 1.3 kilometer-long IP anomaly striking north of the mine’s historic reserves has received initial drilling. Based on the visually-observed results of that drilling, the company engaged another contractor to provide a second drill rig to the site, which commenced drilling last week. Core sample analysis results are expected to be received on a regular basis, commencing shortly. The contents of this news release have been reviewed and approved by the company’s Exploration Manager David Bielhartz, P.Geo, who is a Qualified Person. Readers are also referred to the disclosures made in the company’s prospectus, filed on SEDAR.
